uLearnMONEY FINANCIAL LITERACY VIDEO CONTEST 2021

The uLearnMONEY Financial Literacy Video Contest was organised by ulearnMONEY and Master Money Kids and jointly organised by Pertubuhan Kebajikan dan Perpaduan Komuniti Malaysia (PKPKM), Datuk Arif Shah Academy, E2E Academy, and Compass Light Association, with support from the Penang State Government. Its Media Partners are Money Compass and Celik Wang, with Strategic Partners, Max Capital Management and the Malaysian Literacy in Financial Education Association (MyLIFE). The video contest is sponsored by Am Goldstone, Quantum Metal, Abundance Advisory, and Excellenz Wealth Consultancy.

Cultivating good financial habits in the younger generation is more important than giving them a lot of money. While everyone dreams of a happy, financially secured life with loved ones, many Malaysians are still constantly trying to overcome financial challenges in life and lacking financial literacy is the root of all financial problems.

To cultivate the awareness of financial literacy among the future citizens and backbone of Malaysia, the young generation, the uLearnMONEY Financial Literacy Video Contest was launched on February 9, 2021, which invited the participation of all Malaysians. 

A total of 40 Malaysians across all ages participated in the uLearnMONEY Financial Literacy Video Contest where they had created informational and creative videos with the given financial literacy themes within the safety of their homes. 

  All participants were given access to a uLearnMONEY course worth RM300 for free as a token of appreciation upon their participation. The champion of the video contest received a RM2,000 reward which consist of RM1,000 cash and RM1,000 e-gold. Meanwhile, the 1st runner up  received a RM1,000 cash reward which consist of RM500 cash and RM500 e-gold. Five (5) consolation winners were chosen and they received RM100 e-gold. 

In addition, a special recognition was given to the best video in each age group category and awarded with RM100 cash prize and RM200 e-gold.

The Winner Announcement of the uLearnMONEY Financial Literacy Video Contest was organised via Zoom and also streamed on Facebook Live on July 4, 2021 at 4pm to give appreciation and recognition of all the Malaysians who had participated in the video contest while abiding to the standard operating procedures (SOPs) set by the authorities during the current pandemic.
